Though it wasn’t a pretty showing from the Baltimore Ravens in their 34-23 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the team was not without their bright spots.
Having a particularly strong showing on Thursday night was wide receiver John Brown, who has been named our Player of the Game for his performance in the defeat.
Brown once again performed as advertised, stretching the field for the Ravens and serving as a clutch red zone target. In addition to hauling in a 45-yard bomb from Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco, Brown found the end zone for the second-straight week, linking up with Flacco for a first-rate 21-yard touchdown catch. Last week, Brown was on the receiving end of a 7-yard touchdown throw.
Brown finished the night with four receptions on 10 targets for 92 yards. With a total of seven receptions for 136 receiving yards through two games, the fifth-year veteran now leads all Ravens’ receivers in the categories of receptions and receiving yards.
