With their season on the line, the New York Giants (1-5) were humiliated by the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles (3-3) on Thursday night at MetLife Stadium, 34-13.
With the Giants’ season all but over in terms of playoff hopes, Twitter had a field day with the embarrassing loss at home in primetime.
As is with every game, there was a massive debate over the root of the problems the Giants face with their now 1-5 season. Many blamed it on the play of veteran quarterback Eli Manning, who finished completing 24 of 43 passes for 281 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.

Others on Twitter found the Giants’ problems in the loss go much deeper than Manning’s play. The 37-year-old was sacked four times while being hit 13 times.
