New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady found some positive in his Super Bowl LII loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
“That was the first time that I’d seen my kids really react in that way,’’ he said in a teaser clip on ABC for his documentary series, “Tom vs. Time.” “You know, Benny was crying, Vivi was crying and they were sad for me and sad for the Patriots. But I just said to them, ‘Look you guys this is a great lesson. We don’t always win. We try our best and sometimes it doesn’t go the way we want.'”
Brady caused a stir when he left the field before without the hands of his Eagles’ opponents. It later came out, however, that he did shake hands with rookie Derek Barnett. While Brady’s sportsmanship came into question, his wife Gisele was the picture of grace in defeat. She congratulated every Eagle she saw following the game.
