In one of the craziest mock drafts to come out this season, Pro Football Focus at least makes sense with the pick for the Saints.
Pro Football Focus, love them or hate them, keeps things interesting. On Tuesday, their Steve Palazzolo came out with PFF’s third mock draft and it’s a doozy. For the Saints, at least, the pick makes sense. But much of the rest of the mock is probably pure fantasy. That makes it a fun read and a good topic for talk.
Following the NFL Scouting Combine, Penn State running back Saquon Barkley has moved into a solid top five across the board. In fact, many mock drafts have him going number one and consider him a sure fire All Pro. Not so much Pro Football Focus. They have him falling to Tampa Bay at number seven.
Ahead of Saquon Barkley they have the Colts taking defensive tackle Maurice Hurst out of Michigan at number three. Not Bradley Chubb. Widely considered to be the best pass rusher in the draft. But Hurst. I love Maurice Hurst, don’t get me wrong. But he’s not a top ten pick. On top of that he tested for a similar heart condition that has knocked Nick Fairley out of football. So nothing about that pick makes...
