The Bengals are 2-0 after a 34-23 win over the Ravens on Thursday Night Football.

If that score looks familiar, it’s because that was the same margin Cincinnati defeated the Colts by last week. It’s also the first time an NFL team has scored at least 34 points in each of their first two games since the 2013 Broncos.

In case you forgot, the 2013 Broncos made it to the Super Bowl.

It’s hard for an NFL team to be sharp enough to score that many points in each of their first two games. They’re still getting chemistry down and back in true football shape after not playing a four-quarter game for almost a year.

So for the Bengals to do enough to reach that feat is pretty impressive, even if it is against Colts and Ravens teams that seem to be in the bottom half of NFL teams.

If nothing else, we should feel even more confident about the Bengals getting back to the playoffs. They’re certainly in good shape for that, but there’s still plenty of season left.
