The annual FanSided Network mock draft sent another talented point guard to the Philadelphia 76ers.
With the 2018 NBA Draft officially one week away, FanSided put together a mock draft consisting of picks from all 30 team sites. The Philadelphia 76ers are picking 10th and 26th, affording them (or, in this case, me) the chance to add two quality contributors to a competitive roster.
In the lottery, the Sixers took a unique approach. With Mikal Bridges off the board, Brett Brown (me) went for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the silky point guard out of Kentucky. Once a four-star recruit, his rise to potential lottery status has been one of the best storylines in college basketball.
The Sixers don’t necessarily need another point guard if you still believe in Markelle Fultz. With that said, their lack of playmaking, especially in the halfcourt, was evident against Boston in the playoffs. Adding a talent of Gilgeous-Alexander’s ilk would be highly beneficial.
Shooting will be a swing skill for Gilgeous-Alexander, but he projects as a capable spot-up shooter with upside off the dribble. He can already knock down tough shots from mid-range, so expanding upon that at the next level is wholly...
