The NFL will finally get their opportunity to speak with Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill this week.
According to a new report from Yahoo Sports’ Terez Paylor, NFL investigators are expected to meet with Hill this week. This comes following clarification that the Johnson County district attorney’s investigation into Hill over allegations of child abuse and neglect had been closed.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell previously took the stance that the league would not interfere with the separate and ongoing Department of Children and Families inquiry into Hill. However, news that Hill is scheduled to meet with investigators suggests that the NFL is preparing to make a ruling on Hill. The league could potentially suspend Hill in accordance with their policy on personal conduct.
According to Paylor, Hill is expected to have his legal team by his side for the meeting with NFL investigators. This is still a complex issue, and with the rights of Hill’s infant son in mind, Hill has to be very careful about what he reveals to the NFL during this whole process.
