New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur has added two more members to his coaching staff.

A source tells Sporting News that Deshea Townsend is being hired as assistant defensive backs coach and Ben Wilkerson is being named assistant offensive line coach for the Giants.

Townsend, a fourth-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1998 NFL Draft, broke into coaching following his retirement in 2011. The two-time Super Bowl champion cornerback served as the assistant defensive backs coach of the Arizona Cardinals (2011-2012), cornerbacks coach of Mississippi State University (2013-2015) and defensive backs coach of the Tennessee Titans (2016–2017).
