You know we couldn’t just skip the podcast after the Redskins Week 1 rout of the Arizona Cardinals.
The Washington Redskins demolished the Cardinals in every facet of the game last Sunday, winning the 2018 season opener by a score of 24-6.
The game was a pleasant surprise for fans who’d grown confident in the team’s abilities over the course of a productive offseason, and it was an equally jarring surprise for pundits and media observers who overlooked the Redskins for much of the summer months.
Even after Washington’s defeat of the birds of the desert, however, many are still unconvinced. It’s hard to blame them; the Cardinals have talent, but across the board, they are one of the more incomplete teams across the league. Their offensive line was shodden heading into the game, and the defense, although stocked with All-Pros like Patrick Peterson and Chandler Jones, was still learning the schemes of newly-anointed head coach Steve Wilks.
