As the 2019 Season draws closer, one thing Saints fans don’t need to worry about is the safety of Drew Brees with Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk on the job. They’re the best tackle tandem in the NFL.
Last week, Pro Football Focus’ Mark Chichester put out a post, “The NFL’s best offensive tackle tandems ahead of the 2019 NFL season.” If you’ve been paying attention to all the press they’ve been getting over this offseason, you won’t be surprised to know who sits at number one. That would be left tackle Terron Armstead and right tackle Ryan Ramczyk, Armczyk for short, of the New Orleans Saints.
Terron Armstead, the former third-round pick of the Saints from the 2013 NFL Draft out of the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, is heading into his seventh season in the NFL. Widely recognized as the most athletic tackle in the league, his ascent to the top has been gradual only due to injury issues he’s faced along the way.
Ryan Ramczyk, going into his third season, the former first-round pick of the Saints, along with Marshon Lattimore, out of the 2017 NFL Draft, has been quicker to get to the top. He’s been the ideal first-round pick, ready to start and play at a high level from day...
