The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings will face off Sunday afternoon in an important early-season matchup in the NFC North.
Here’s how the staff at Packers Wire believes the Week 2 matchup will go down:
Too many factors working against the Packers. Aaron Rodgers was a one-legged superhero last Sunday night, but he’ll be facing an impressive cast of villains Sunday afternoon.
The head says Vikings, the heart says Packers. Operating on the assumption Aaron Rodgers will play, it’s just hard to bet against the guy. He’s going to be especially motivated in this game. Yes, the Vikings have one of the league’s best rosters top to bottom, but the Packers have the league’s best player at the most important position. At the beginning of the year, I had the Packers splitting the series with the Vikings. If they’re going to win one of these games, it’s going to happen at Lambeau Field. So why not let it be Sunday? It feels as though the widespread assumption is that the gap between the Packers’ offense and Vikings’ defense is much closer than the gap between the Vikings’ offense and Packers’ defense. If the Pettine’s Packers surprise, it’ll be another notch in the win...
