The Green Bay Packers were without 18 players during Thursday night’s preseason opener, many due to injuries.
The injury situation looked far better only a few days later.
The Packers returned nine key players to practice on Sunday afternoon:
LT David Bakhtiari (ankle)
RB Aaron Jones (hamstring)
TE Jimmy Graham (knee)
WR Randall Cobb (ankle)
CB Kevin King (shoulder)
CB Jaire Alexander (groin)
DL Mike Daniels (thigh)
DL Muhammad Wilkerson (groin)
RT Bryan Bulaga (knee)
Fullback Joe Kerridge (shoulder) also returned.
The most surprising name on the list is Bakhtiari, who rolled his ankle during the team’s Family Night Scrimmage on Aug. 2 and missed the last week of practice.

Jones, who hasn’t practiced since injuring his hamstring on July 28, is finally back.
King, Alexander and Wilkerson are all back after dealing with minor injuries suffered during the team’s scrimmage.
Cobb is still managing soreness in his ankle, while Daniels has been dealing with a thigh issue suffered early at camp.
