The Green Bay Packers are suddenly shorthanded at right tackle.
The team’s Friday injury report revealed both Bryan Bulaga and Jason Spriggs have new injuries.
Bulaga, who is returning from an ACL injury suffered last season, has a new knee injury and wasn’t seen during the early portion of practice Friday. Spriggs, who went on injured reserve twice last season, went down during practice with an ankle injury and needed to be carted back to Lambeau Field.
Both players were listed as limited Friday. Neither was included on the report Thursday. If they can’t go Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers, the Packers would need to arrange an emergency plan at right tackle.
Bulaga is the starter; Spriggs is the primary backup.
It’s possible veteran Byron Bell could slide out to right tackle, leaving Justin McCray, who was upgraded to a full participant on Friday, to handle right guard.
