Green Bay Packers backup offensive tackle Jason Spriggs suffered a lower-body injury at Friday’s practice and required a cart to get back to Lambeau Field.
Matt Hietpas of WBAY captured the aftermath of the injury:
Spriggs is the Packers’ top backup at left tackle and also likely at right tackle, especially with veteran Byron Bell now starting at right guard.
Complicating the situation is the unknown status of starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga, who wasn’t present at practice Friday. He’s previously dealt with a back injury.
A former second-round pick, Spriggs has dealt with injuries throughout his NFL career. He went on injured reserve twice last season, first for a hamstring injury and again after dislocating his kneecap.
