According to one betting line, the Green Bay Packers are the odds-on favorite to land Oakland Raiders pass-rushing star Khalil Mack.
In fact, the Packers have better odds on rostering Mack than the Raiders and the field:
Currently, reports floating around suggest the Raiders may be willing to part ways with Mack, who wants a new deal and will not report to the team until a new one is inked.
The team looks unwilling to oblige and – for the right price – may deal Mack.
The Packers have two first-round picks next year and plenty of cap space if they so choose to make the room. By this time next year, the high-dollar contracts of Clay Matthews and Randall Cobb will be off the Packers’ books.
A trickier issue with Mack is that he wants a new contract before he reports to camp, so the Raiders would likely have to allow the Packers to negotiate with Mack and agree to terms prior to any trade.
