NFL fines 4 players and 3 coaches for Seahawks-Jags incident, but not Michael Bennett

The fines for last Sunday’s skirmish between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks have officially been handed out and it appears that defensive end Michael Bennett won’t be one of the players punished. However, several of his teammates will be as Sheldon Richardson, Quinton Jefferson and Germain Ifedi all were fined for their involvement in the scuffle.

Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette was also fined for his involvement after coming to the aid of his teammate Brandon Linder and engaging with Bennett.

Several coaches were also fined for entering the field during Sunday’s incident with the most notable being Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, who was fined $10,000. Jags assistant coaches Pat Flaherty and Keenan McCardell also received equal fines for the same reasons. Both entered the field to help separate some the players involved, however, according to the NFL Rule Book assistants are not allowed to enter the field during the game.
