The biggest news coming out of Dallas heading into the weekend is an update on Randy Gregory’s indefinite suspension, which he received earlier this offseason. Gregory, who missed all but two games of the 2016 and 2017 seasons, had a great comeback year in 2018, only to get sat down again.
There are expectations for Dak Prescott and the Cowboys, some criticism levied at Amari Cooper and some superlatives for Byron Jones and Jaylon Smith. There’s also tidbits from Ezekiel Elliott’s meeting with Commissioner Goodell and an outlook for the team’s top rook.
Gregory was once again popped for a marijuana violation, but a league statement earlier in the spring indicates they are looking to get out of the weed punishment business. That gives Gregory and his camp some hope he could be reinstated before any games are lost from the 2019 campaign.
