America’s Team joins the rest of the country in congratulating the Women’s World Cup winners, one sportswriter thinks he has a clear-eye view as to which Cowboy will make his first Pro Bowl this year, two franchise passers make the Top 25 all-time list, a current star admits to pushing the rules envelope against one of the league’s best, and a menu of NFC East beers to wrap up the holiday weekend.

The eyes of the sports world were turned toward Lyon, France on Sunday as the United States Women’s National Team took on the Netherlands in a battle for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. After goals by Megan Rapinoe and Rose Lavelle gave the US a 2-0 win, fans from across the country took to social media to celebrate the victory. Afterward, several of the congratulatory messages from the Dallas area came from those that specialize in the other kind of football.
