News: Arrest warrant lifted on Cowboys staffer, Hill dark horse ROY hopes

The attention begins to shift towards Dallas Cowboys positional battles and the expectations for player to compete and move the needle in their growth. Not only are the interests of the Cowboys in player development but also in the play calling of new coordinator Kellen Moore and the ability to take advantage of the talent on the defensive side of the ball.

Jason Witten’s progress in his return to Dallas, La’el Collins work within the community and an exaggerated look at the combustion of the Cowboys heading into 2019 all find themselves in this edition of news and notes.

Former defensive tackle and current scout Josh Brent had his arrest warrant recalled. State District Judge Tina Yoo Clinton initially issued a warrant because of charges of assault on a public servant and of resisting arrest.

Brent was arrested for public intoxication and his charge is pending. Brent’s probation was punishment for the drunken driving crash that killed teammate Jerry Brown. The reason for the recall of the warrant is yet to be disclosed.
