Nets working out international free agents

There’s no official list of what international free agents been rattling the rims at the Nets mini-camps these last two weeks but social media indicate the Nets have held two three-day workouts, one last week and another this week. The reports have the Nets bringing in players from Europe, South America, Australia and Asia for look-sees.

Most of the information comes from tweets like this from an Argentine blogger chronicling his countryman Nico Brussino’s travels around the NBA...

So far, NetsDaily has identified 11 free agents who’ve dropped by HSS Training Center Of the eight, only two — Jared Sullinger, the 6’9” former Celtic, and Brussino, a 6’10” swingman from Argentina — have NBA experience other than summer league or training camp. Some played college ball in the U.S., then headed to Europe or spent time in the G-League. Two played in the 2016 Olympics for their home countries.

Here’s our list, which is like our list of Draft prospects, is incomplete.

--Jared Sullinger , still only 26, is trying to revive his NBA career. He talked to the Nets last summer but decided to play in China where he averaged 30.6 points and 16.6 rebounds for Shenzen. He also kept his notoriously unstable weight under control for the whole season. Sullinger has played 268 NBA games, with 172 starts and for a three year stretch between 2013 and 2016, he averaged 12 and 6 for the Celtics. He’s 6’9” and about 260 pounds. ...
