More details come out on Nick Foles' contract structure and Jags' available cap space

The Jacksonville Jaguars introduced their new No. 1 quarterback, Nick Foles, to the media Thursday and it appears the veteran quarterback couldn’t be happier. After meeting the media, the Jags’ from office continued to talk to the media about their new investment and more details were revealed on both Foles’ contract and the Jags’ available cap space.

Foles contract breakdown:

– $25 million signing bonus
– $12 million cap hit in 2019
– $21 million cap hit in 2020
– $5.5 in guaranteed base salary in 2019
– About $15 million in guaranteed base salary in 2020
– $50.125 million in total guarantees, 5 of which is only for injury

In starting with Foles’ cap hit, $12 million on the season is a win for the Jags who need as much cap space as possible to add weapons around him.
