Mock draft watch: NDT's 7-rounder loads up Browns secondary

If you want the Cleveland Browns to overhaul the defensive backfield while also upgrading the offensive skill positions, including quarterback, you’ll like this one…

Kyle Crabbs of NDT Scouting released his 7-round mock draft for the Cleveland Browns. Several of the names in the later rounds are new to the Browns mock draft database and make for interesting fits.

The two first-round picks are familiar ones. UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen and Alabama defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick are immediate impact players at positions of pretty dire need in Cleveland.

Of Rosen, Crabbs notes,

My personal top QB in this year’s class is Baker Mayfield. But if we are investigating who would be the most attractive option for Hue Jackson’s offense? That would be UCLA’s Josh Rosen. Rosen has more natural arm strength to push the ball down the field, making him a more natural fit.

It’s an intriguing distinction which does make sense, presuming Jackson has involvement in the decision-making process.
