So it still makes sense that even if the Green Bay Packers signed the former they could draft the latter.

Wilkerson was scheduled to make his first free-agent visit to the Packers on Wednesday, weather permitting, after the New York Jets cut the former first-round draft pick.

Even though defensive line isn't the Packers' biggest position of need, ESPN NFL draft analyst Todd McShay doesn't think signing Wilkerson should preclude them from picking Davenport at No. 14 overall in next month's draft.
