Le'Veon Bell says his contract demands are 'settling' compared to his worth

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell made an appearance on Complex News “Out of Bounds” show on YouTube this week. Bell has become the center of the NFL world since the Steelers placed the franchise tag on him for a second straight season.

Bell has been making the rounds since the Pro Bowl, trying to make himself a sympathetic figure to the public over this whole contract situation. Here’s what he said about it.

Regardless, I’m gonna have at least $14.5 [million]. I try not to think about it or worry myself about it too much, because I mean, it’s kind of out of my control. The Steelers [are] gonna want to do it or not…I’ve already done everything I could do on the field, try to show people what I’m able to do and why I’m worth it, things like that. So it’s out of my control until I touch the football field again. I want to stay with the organization, but I’m not gonna go below the number that I’m actually kind of settling for. ‘Cause I already feel like I’m worth more than...
