The Raiders didn’t exactly inspire much faith in their fans in 2017 after finishing with an ugly 6-10 record despite having one of the most talented rosters in the NFL. And despite the fact that owner Mark Davis brought back coach Jon Gruden to try to right the ship, Las Vegas has little faith in Oakland doing anything special in Chucky’s first year back given the Raiders’ odds to win Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, per Westgate Las Vegas Superbook.
Oakland is given the same odds (20/1) to win Super Bowl LIII as the Texans, Jaguars, 49ers and Cowboys. Which is sure to be a bit humbling for the team.
Yes, Houston should be much improved should Deshaun Watson be able to remain healthy. Sure, 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has all the tools and intangibles to take San Francisco to the next level. But having the same odds as the Jaguars is just insulting regardless of how good their defense is. After all, Jacksonville doesn’t even have a legitimate starting quarterback on its roster.
