The Indianapolis Colts are expected to name Josh McDaniels their next head coach fresh off of the New England Patriots loss in Super Bowl LII to the Philadelphia Eagles.
However, McDaniels didn’t feel it was appropriate to answer any questions about the Colts in the postgame press conferences after the Super Bowl loss.
It’s understandable why McDaniels didn’t want to answer any questions surrounding the Colts. It may have been in poor taste to do so that quickly after losing the Super Bowl.
McDaniels’ offense was on full display Sunday night as the Patriots set a record for most offensive yards in a game and most points in a loss in Super Bowl history. Quarterback Tom Brady also threw for 505 passing yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Nothing is official until the Colts announce the hire but it is still expected to happen. McDaniels didn’t feel like talking about his expected landing spot but that’s understandable given the situation.
