On Thursday night, the Celtics hosted their annual Shamrock Foundation Tip Off Gala. Jayson Tatum wouldn’t let the good nature of the event stop him from firing a shot at his teammate and fellow former Duke Blue Devil Kyrie Irving, though.
As a part of the gala, Irving and Tatum participated in a public discussion, and Tatum took the opportunity to jab the unsuspecting Irving about the length of his collegiate career.

“He only played seven games in college,” Tatum chimed in after Irving was asked what he thought about Tatum’s production in his lone season at Duke.
“We stick together, though,” Tatum said as he chuckled.
“It took me 11,” Irving said in response, correcting Tatum on the number of games he played in college.
Irving then pointed out the fact that the 11 games were still enough for him to end up getting drafted with the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA...
