Just in case you weren’t paying attention, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce reached a milestone on Thursday night.
Once upon a time, well seven years ago, the Philadelphia Eagles took a chance on a smallish center from Cincinnati. His name was Jason Kelce, and ‘The Birds’ made him a sixth-round draft selection, the 191st-overall selection to be exact.
Flash forward, and Kelce is a folk hero of some sorts. He’s also a two-time Pro Bowl selection (2014 and 2016). In 2017, he was a first-team All Pro. He’s also the author of one of the most famous speeches in Philadelphia sports history.
Not bad for a guy many said was undersized and untalented.
