The Washington Redskins listed four offensive starters as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers, including all three starting wide receivers.
Wide receivers Jamison Crowder (ankle), Josh Doctson (heel) and Paul Richardson Jr. (shoulder/knee) and running back Adrian Peterson (ankle/shoulder/knee) are all questionable. Crowder seems to be in the most in danger of missing the game after not practicing all week.
“He needs to get up and run,” Coach Jay Gruden said about Crowder. “That won’t happen — [with] a couple of these guys, I won’t know — until Sunday at about 9, 10 o’clock when they get on the field and see if they can run and do some things. We have everything covered if they can’t go, but there’s three or four of these guys on the list we have to wait and see on Sunday.”
Rookie safety Troy Apke (hamstring) has been ruled out, and guard Shawn Lauvao (calf) is officially doubtful after missing the last two games. Lauvao returned to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday, and Gruden wanted to see how the guard’s calf responded. He was still sore Friday and did not practice.
