After a tough loss to the Houston Texans, the Dallas Cowboys will host the Jaguars as Jacksonville pays a visit to Jerry World for a big matchup. The Jaguars just got beat down by the Kansas City Chiefs in a blowout and will look to take out their anger on the Cowboys.
The Jaguars travel to Dallas with the best defense in the league featuring premier, or near-premier talent at every level. Jacksonville will be the biggest challenge yet for already struggling Cowboys offense.
How will the Cowboys move the ball? An unheralded and unused player might be the key to victory Sunday.
His name? Jamize Olawale.
The Jaguars defensive backs are a special group. Jalen Ramsey has risen to one of the top cornerbacks in the league and A.J. Bouye could be a No. 1 corner for a large number of NFL teams. The passing offense will likely struggle to move the ball consistently if they try to challenge the corners outside. The Cowboys will have to be creative with other options, and one of them could be Olawale.
The Cowboys traded for Olawale in March before the draft, after Keith Smith decided to join the Oakland Raiders in free agency. Scott Linehan rarely utilizes a fullback, and Olawale’s 30 snaps all season proves that thought process.
