Another former Arizona Cardinals player has found a new team to play for in 2019. Offensive lineman John Wetzel is joining the Atlanta Falcons.
The team announced he signed a one-year deal.
Wetzel was eligible to be a restricted free agent but the Cardinals did not offer him a qualifying tender so he was free to sign with any team.
He joined the Cardinals in December 2015, signing with the practice squad and played each of the last three seasons on the 53-man roster. He appeared in 40 games, starting 24 of them, playing both tackle positions and some guard.
His 2018 season ended on injured reserve with a neck injury.
