Ryan Kerrigan is quite the pro for Daron Payne to take after.
The Washington Redskins rookie has sacks in back-to-back games, which is a pretty rare feat on its own considering he’s an interior guy.
Even better, it’s something Kerrigan himself did a few years ago:
All Kerrigan has gone on to do since is quietly perform as one of the NFL’s best pass rushers, tallying 72.5 sacks to date.
Payne has two already, and it’s clear he’s starting to win over those who weren’t in love with the Redskins making him the pick at No. 13 this year.

With room to grow, Payne’s fast start is a strong sign of things to come as he becomes the centerpiece for the defense.
