Falcons' 2016 Season: 7th most points scored in NFL history

When we said the Atlanta Falcons offense was on a historic pace, we weren’t joking.

Following yesterday’s season-ending win over the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta finished the year with 540 total points scored. That’s good enough for the seventh most in NFL history.

Atlanta accomplished this despite facing the toughest schedule based on their opponents’ 2015 record in the league this year.

Of the ten teams listed, three went on to play in the Super Bowl, but only the 1999 Rams led by Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk won.
