Ex-Colts CB Lenzy Pipkins claimed by Lions
/ Colts

Former Indianapolis Colts cornerback Lenzy Pipkins has been awarded off waivers to the Detriot Lions.

Pipkins was waived by the Colts on Tuesday when the team signed veteran safety Mike Mitchell due to the injuries that have hit the safety room following the Week 5 loss to the New England Patriots.

The Colts originally traded for Pipkins when he was with the Green Bay Packers during the preseason, giving up linebacker Antonio Morrison.

Pipkins was on and off the Colts active roster and practice squad throughout the first five games of the season. He played in one game (Week 5) during the regular season recording nine tackles (six solo).
