Eagles' Super Bowl victory motivating current Giants players

The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl Champions. Those might be the worst seven words for a New York Giants fan or player to read, but that’s the reality after Doug Pederson’s squad dispatched of the reigning champion New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

There are only a couple remaining players from the Giants’ last Super Bowl victory in the 2011 season. Eli Manning, Jason Pierre-Paul, Mark Herzlich and long snapper Zak DeOssie are the only four who have tasted victory with the franchise. In fact, most of the roster wasn’t even in the league when Big Blue won it all six seasons ago.

Watching their hated rival Eagles win the championship has to be motivation for every single player on the team, and a couple took to Twitter to make that known.

The goal for 2018 now becomes dethroning the Eagles, which will be a daunting task. The team that went 13-3 returns basically everyone from their deep roster, one that lost MVP front runner Carson Wentz, starting left tackle Jason Peters and starting middle linebacker Jordan Hicks, among others, and still rallied together to win it...
