Draft Wire post-combine 4-round mock: Recap, reactions to Chiefs picks

With the combine wrapped up, we now have a better idea about the athleticism of some prospects.

We also found out the names of several players that the Chiefs have spoken with. Of course every team talks to a ton of players, but looking at our list of names shows what kind of players Kansas City is interested in.

Now that the combine is over, expect even more mock drafts. The latest is from Luke Easterling of Draft Wire, who put together a post-combine four-round mock. Here are my reactions to his picks for the Chiefs:

Oh look, another receiver in the second round. There seems to be a trend with this pick. Like I mentioned in my reaction to Matt Miller’s latest mock, I could see the Chiefs taking a receiver in round two in order to boost the offense. The Chiefs defense will struggle in 2018 so the offense needs to be at its best.

Chiefs fans would like this pick because Cain has nice size (6-foot-2, 202 pounds), is fast (was a top performer in the three-cone drill at the combine) and is scrappy. He’s willing to fight for the ball and dig for those extra yards. Cain does have issues with drops but that could be fixed at the pro...
