Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice isn’t sweating reports about a supposed hamstring injury.
Recently, word broke Guice suffered a minor setback while training, though the report noted it had happened weeks prior. While newsworthy ahead of training camp, everything seems fine now.
Guice, after all, hit social media with a smooth comment: “I don’t listen to the noise. I know what’s going on with me.”
Granted, Redskins fans are justified in being a bit wary about injury news considering the way the injury bug has assaulted the roster over the past two seasons — to the point the team brought on outside help in an effort to fix the problem.
Redskins fans can also be a bit jumpy with Guice, who went down during his debut preseason with a torn ACL, then needed a reported three additional surgeries while battling an infection.
Still, Guice had another message for those concerned:
