Cousins outperforms Keenum in preseason opener

Vikings fans didn’t get to see much of Kirk Cousins on Saturday night against the Broncos, but in his limited action, Cousins was phenomenal.

He played just one series, but was 4-for-4, throwing for 42 yards and a touchdown to Stefon Diggs.

Cousins also had this 21-yard dime to Diggs.

It was a small sample size, but Cousins gave Vikings fans exactly what they were hoping for.

Former Vikings quarterback Case Keenum is now the starter in Denver. Keenum was just 1-for-4, throwing for five yards.

Both Kyle Sloter and Trevor Siemian are former Broncos, and they had fine days for the Vikings.

Siemian was 11-for-17, throwing for 165 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Sloter was 9-for-11 for 69 yards and a touchdown. Sloter also showed off his wheels, running twice for 19 yards and a 14-yard touchdown.
