Starting off the season with a superb 24-6 win, the Washington Redskins dominated the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1. Washington will now look to build off that victory in Week 2 when the play host to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at FedExField.
Unlike the Redskins, the Colts had rough time in Week 1 as they lost 34-23 to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals dominated the Colts’ defense and outscored Indianapolis 17-0 in the fourth quarter.
Despite the loss, the Colts can take some solace in the fact that Andrew Luck is back after missing all of last season with a shoulder injury. Luck played well in his first game back by throwing for 319 yards (39-of-53 passing) and recording two touchdowns. He did have an interception though and throwing 53 times is suffice to say, a lot.
In a broader sense, Washington’s Week 2 matchup against Indianapolis will be a good test for the Redskins and help to see if they are for real or if their performance in Week 1 was just them taking advantage of a weaker opponent.
