The Buffalo Bills returned to the practice field on Sunday afternoon, holding their thirteenth training camp practice. With one preseason game in the books, there was some movement in terms of players taking reps with different units. Throw in some injury scares and another fight, and this practice was full of intrigue.

It’s never a good day when a quarterback is hurt at practice. When two quarterbacks are hurt, it’s definitely scary, regardless of the severity of the injuries. Nathan Peterman and AJ McCarron each had separate injury scares on Sunday, and while it’s too early to have heard much about either player, neither injury seemed to be particularly serious.
McCarron hurt his lower right leg, either his Achilles or his ankle, when he was sacked in the latter half of practice. He stayed down on the ground and was clearly upset, slamming his helmet to the turf at one point. He was able to return to practice, but he was limping noticeably for the remainder of the session. After practice, he did not go for extra treatment, instead spending time with his wife and son on the practice field, according to John Wawrow.
