Bucs Hire Defensive Quality Control Coach

Amidst the press conference for new defensive line coach Brentson Buckner yesterday, the Buccaneers also hired a defensive quality control coach. Bucs Nation user Speterman innocuously broke the news on Bucs Nation in a tweet in yesterday's Daily Thread comment. It did not hit me until I was doing research for today's Daily Thread. We signed a new coach???!

Stephen Nicholas is your new defensive quality control coach, Buccaneers fans. Nicholas's ties to the Bucs include that he participated in the Bill Walsh diversity coaching fellowship and the Nunn-Wooten scouting fellowship program. That program had Nicholas working the Bucs' organized team activities (OTAs) practices last year.

That's two new coaches in a matter of days for the defense. Signs are pointing upwards, though, they are always pointing upwards in the offseason.
