The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added wide receiver Freddie Martino after cornerback Marcus Williams went on the injured reserve.
Williams played in two games with Tampa Bay this season and recorded three tackles. He was initially brought in to provide depth to a cornerback position littered with injuries. With Brent Grimes back in the fold and the unit looking healthy, it was time to address another area.
With Martino back in the fold, the Bucs are back to six wideouts on the roster. Martino has been with Tampa Bay since 2016. Martino has caught 13 passes for 238 yards and a touchdown in three seasons.
In 2018, Martino has played in three games but hasn’t recorded a catch. Martino has value in special teams and will likely suit up on Sunday to play a role in that capacity.
