If new GM John Dorsey desires to make the Cleveland Browns big spenders in free agency, he has the resources to do it. The Browns have ample salary cap room to sign several big-ticket players.
Courtesy of Over the Cap, the Browns project to have $110,188,137 in cap room for 2018. That is based on a salary cap projection of $236.9 million, which is an unofficial number.
The day after Super Bowl LII, only the San Francisco 49ers have more cap room than the Browns. The Indianapolis Colts are next line with nearly $33 million fewer in available space.
Interestingly, the Browns also have more players under contract (70) than any other team. However, for salary cap purposes the top 51 contracts are the only ones which matter.
