When the Denver Broncos signed Phillip Lindsay as an undrafted free agent, it was widely considered to be a good move within the fanbase. However, much of that was likely due to the fact that Lindsay is a hometown guy.

But through two games, he’s proven to be more than just a good story. He’s become a huge factor on offense.

In the Broncos’ 20-19 victory over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, Lindsay cracked the 100-yard rushing mark on just 14 carries. He had the most carries of any running back on the team.

That’s impressive but it may also just be the tip of the iceberg as far as this season is concerned with Lindsay. He has come up big in each of the first two games and the team seems to even prefer him over Royce Freeman to this point.
