Before a season where he faces huge expectations, Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Andrew Billings took a moment to do something important — walk across the stage and become a graduate.
Saturday, Billings had an excused absence at Bengals training camp to do just that:
Billings has been one of the breakout stars for the Bengals this offseason, something the roster desperately needed next to Geno Atkins.
While the Bengals added some competition in the form of Chris Baker via free agency, Billings has easily looked like the starter and should continue to serve in the role provided he bests the injury issues he’s faced since entering the league.
