Welcome to another edition of the Beer of the Week!
As always, the Beer of the Week is originally presented on the Arrowhead Pride Tailgate on 610 Sports Radio as part of my Defense and Beer of the Week segment.
This week...was tough.
Due to antiquated distributorship regulations that are kept in place by lobbyists from big beer companies, Kansas and Missouri are without any of the major craft beers from the state of Pennsylvania, including the generally terrible Iron City Beer, who used to be a partner of this week’s opponent, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
So, with that in mind, I picked a brewery from central New York that has some ties to Kansas City’s biggest brewery. This week’s Beer of the Week is Brewery Ommegang Hennepin Farmhouse Saison!

A 7.7% Farmhouse Saison, this beer is highly carbonated with notes of ginger, spices, and orange peel. It’s light bodied and easy to drink with a little bit of funkiness from the Saison yeast.
