The Arizona Cardinals have had a decent free agency signing period so far but there is still plenty of work to do
No one can say the Arizona Cardinals didn’t try to get better. However they still have some deficiencies after the initial free agency signing period.
They added a cornerback in Robert Alford in February. They added three offensive linemen, two in free agency and one via trade. They traded for Marcus Gilbert from the Pittsburgh Steelers and got Max Garcia and J.R. Sweezy from the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks respectively.
They addressed the linebacker position by upgrading. They still need depth. They added Jordan Hicks from the Philadelphia Eagles at inside linebacker and Terrell Suggs at outside linebacker from the Baltimore Ravens. They rid themselves of their best linebacker from 2018 in Josh Bynes though.
The receiver slot is likely still unresolved though. They are signing Kevin White from the Chicago Bears but he still has a lot to prove.
They did have addition by subtraction on Friday however. They lost J.J. Nelson to the Oakland Raiders. Right now though the receiver room has Larry Fitzgerald, Christian Kirk, White, Chad Williams, Trent Sherfield, Pharoh Cooper as the top six...
