Anonymous Cowboy on if Scott Linehan has lost the room: not yet, but he better tighten up

Through five games in 2018 the Dallas Cowboys have one of the worst offenses in the NFL. This comes in spite of the rest of the league scoring more than ever before. Literally. It’s unreal.

Some criticism for the Cowboys’ ineptitude on that side of the ball has landed on its coordinator, Scott Linehan. Wide receiver Allen Hurns made waves on Wednesday when comments about Dak Prescott’s second interception in Houston surfaced, Hurns called it the worst play-call you can make against that kind of coverage.

Scott Linehan has, as mentioned, been a target of plenty of discussions, and at some point someone is going to have to answer for the offense’s inability to do anything. According to Albert Breer from the MMQB one Cowboys player believes Scott Linehan could lose the room.

When asked about whether Linehan’s losing the room on Wednesday, one player texted, “not yet, but he better tighten up.”

Stephen Jones was also mentioned in Breer’s piece and is firmly on the record that the man above Scott Linehan, Jason Garrett, isn’t in any kind of hot water for now.
