Jeffery is a man of few words, but teammates still consider him a leader. After Thursday night’s 34-13 win over the Giants, Jeffery explained how he tries to inspire confidence in the offense. “Man, just always just tell ‘em ain’t nobody fucking with us,” Jeffery said. “That’s what I always say.” It is what he always says. Jeffery said it last year after a win over the Cowboys. And he said it this year too before the season even started. Jeffery was still coming back from a shoulder injury, but before the opener, he addressed the entire offense with a simple message: Let’s start the season by beating the Falcons and finish the season in Atlanta. “That’s the ultimate goal,” Jeffery said Thursday night at his locker. “We got a taste of the Super Bowl. Why not do it again?”

Carson Wentz: Honestly, I’m kinda glad that Giants rookie running back Saquon Barkley had himself such an evening. He took the biggest chunk of the NFL attention, while Carson’s dominant performance went rather quietly by. Carson’s placement looks as good, if not better than it did last season. His mobility is clearly back to pre-injury levels. HIs mental processing is back to last season’s levels, though there’s still growth to be had there.
