Alex Smith's family explores new home in 'NFL Digital Diaries'

It’s not quite MTV Cribs but for the latest episode of Geico’s NFL Digital Diaries, Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith and his family invited cameras into their new D.C. area home.

In the episode, Smith and family explore their new home before any furniture is actually moved in. And while Smith hoped the move in process went a little quicker, he says he’s happy to be playing for the Redskins.

“We’re a young family and to get to come to the nation’s capital for a storied franchise and I get to keep playing quarterback,” Smith says in the video.

Having been traded from Kansas City to Washington, Smith also commented on how his family is handling all of the newness in their life.

“A lot of new right now. We are in a new town, new house, new team,” Smith says. “There is a lot of new and I think it could be overbearing and yeah, we are juggling a lot but at the same time I think it’s also exciting in its own right. You have to keep perspective on how lucky we...
